About Lynne Hawkes

Lynne is a considerate and understanding professional who has a desire to provide a positive effect on health in the community with a keen awareness of the effect of foot pain on quality of life, She has previously worked for the NHS and maintains the highest standards of hygiene, record keeping and confidentiality. Her registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) permits Lynne to administer local anaesthetic and supply certain prescription only medicines.

Lynne obtained a First Class honours degree at the highly regarded Northampton University Podiatry School. She has extensive experience both in the private sector and working with diabetic patients and high risk feet within the NHS. 

About Podiatry

Podiatrists are healthcare professionals who provide specialist medical care of the feet and lower limbs, allowing their patients to enjoy greater mobility, independence and an improved quality of life. The title podiatrist is internationally recognised having replaced that of chiropodist, which has only ever been used in the United Kingdom. They are fully qualified to provide assessment, diagnosis and treatment of feet, ankle and lower limb conditions.

 

Podiatrists:
 

  • Should not be confused with Foot Health Practitioners. This is an unprotected title which can be used by anyone - regardless of the amount of training they have received.

  • Have completed a recognised course of study involving at least 3 years’ rigorous training at one of only 13 UK Universities to offer the Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Podiatry.

  • Are qualified to work within the NHS.

  • Are registered with the Health & Care Professional Council (HCPC)

  • Are members of the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists.

Cancellation Policy

In the event that you are unable to attend your appointment please give me as much notice as possible so that I can offer your appointment to someone else and avoid empty slots. Regrettably if less than 2 working days notice is provided and I am not able to refill your appointment the fee will still apply.
